About this project
A hardware aggregator that compares PC component prices across local vendors, checks whether parts fit together, estimates system power draw, and predicts gaming performance.
Key achievements:
- Split the product into five applications: an Express API, a Next.js storefront, an admin console, a Payload CMS, and a Python scraping service
- Wrote three domain engines behind the build planner: compatibility (socket, memory type, form factor and clearance), power draw with headroom, and an FPS estimate per resolution
- Built the scraper as a configurable per-vendor pipeline on Puppeteer and Cheerio, scheduled with cron, so adding a retailer is a config change rather than new code
- Matched duplicate listings across vendors using ChromaDB embeddings with a local LLM through LangChain and Ollama, keeping inference off paid APIs
